Interested organisations — including arts centres, music societies, theatres and festivals – are invited to submit grant applications by email. These applicants may be small charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), or other organisations. The information we collect through this process may include:
- Organisation name, type, and registered address
- Contact names and email addresses
- Financial information relevant to the grant application
- Programme and project details
This organisational and financial data is shared with the Chamber Music Fund trustees, who act as external assessors and meet twice a year to evaluate applications.

- Legitimate interests: to administer and assess grant applications and to fulfil our charitable objectives.
- Legal obligation: to comply with our regulatory and reporting obligations as a registered charity, including those required by the Charity Commission and HMRC.

Grant applications, records, and reports are retained for seven years, in accordance with HMRC guidelines and the Charity Commission’s requirements for financial record-keeping.
After this period, data will be securely deleted unless we are required to retain it for ongoing legal or regulatory purposes.
